Green Hills Homes for Sale: 1143 Glendale Lane, a 2020 Contemporary on Half an Acre
Jason Gruner, REALTOR, Coldwell Banker Southern Realty

1143 Glendale Lane is one of the Green Hills homes for sale that stood out on my weekly pull: a contemporary home built around 2020 by Richland Building Partners, with 4,866 square feet, five bedrooms, four full baths and one half bath, listed at $2,850,000. It sits on 0.505 acres in the 1141 Glendale Townhomes subdivision, with a Nashville address in ZIP code 37204, inside the area my Green Hills Realtracs search covers. I'm Jason Gruner with Coldwell Banker Southern Realty, and I follow every Green Hills Nashville listing. What caught my eye is the combination of a main level primary suite, a gourmet kitchen with a scullery behind it, and three separate outdoor living spaces, one with an outdoor kitchen, all behind a secure gated entrance.

Inside the home
Inside, the listing leads with soaring ceilings and an open, bright floor plan, and that is what the house shows from the entry on. Tall windows pull light deep into the main living area, and wood floors run through the open rooms so the living, dining, and kitchen spaces read as one connected floor. A floating staircase with a glass rail keeps the sight lines open between levels instead of closing them off. The kitchen is the working center of the plan: a large dark island with bar seating faces white cabinetry, a textured tile wall, and a professional style range. Behind it, a scullery gives you a second prep and cleanup space, so the main kitchen can stay clear when you are hosting. The listing also points to high end finishes and a long list of extras, which I confirm room by room on a tour.

The primary suite is on the main level, which matters to a lot of buyers I talk with in this price range because it keeps daily living on one floor. The bedroom pairs a dark ceiling with tall windows and drapery, and the bath includes a freestanding soaking tub and a large walk in closet with built in shelving. The other four bedrooms give you room for guests, an office, or a media space. I still walk every room with you on a tour and confirm what conveys with the sale.

Outdoor space and the lot
Outdoor living is where this house separates itself. The listing describes three outdoor living spaces, and one of them has an outdoor kitchen. Out back, a covered outdoor room opens off the house, and a stone fire pit patio sits out in the lawn. The yard is large and fenced, and the listing notes it has room for a pool if you want to add one. On 0.505 acres, that still leaves real lawn beyond the patios.

Out front, the house shows stone, siding, and large windows under a clean contemporary profile, with a garage at the front and a long driveway along a fence. The secure, gated entrance the listing mentions adds privacy. It reads as a finished home ready for everyday living and entertaining, not a project waiting for work.
Why Glendale Lane works in Green Hills
Glendale Lane Nashville is a residential street with a 37204 ZIP code, and this home falls inside the area I draw for my Green Hills search, so I track it with every other Green Hills listing. It is part of the 1141 Glendale Townhomes subdivision and sits behind a gated entrance, and the listing calls the location very convenient. For everyday errands, the main Green Hills anchors are along Hillsboro Pike, including The Mall at Green Hills and Hill Center Green Hills. I will not invent walk or drive times from this door, so I map the route with you when we tour. What I like about this spot is a newer contemporary home on half an acre with a main level primary suite, on a street that stays residential while Green Hills shopping and dining remain close enough for weekly use.
Living in Green Hills, one of Nashville's best neighborhoods
Green Hills sits south of downtown Nashville along Hillsboro Pike, which is also US 431. Directly north, across Interstate 440, is Hillsboro Village, and three universities are close by: Vanderbilt, Belmont, and Lipscomb. For green space, Radnor Lake State Park is south of Green Hills at 1160 Otter Creek Road. Tennessee State Parks says it covers 1,389 acres and is a Class II Natural Area, with trails, a visitor center, and wildlife viewing. Pets are allowed only on Otter Creek Road, Hall Drive, and the dam, and the parking lots fill up quickly on nice days, so I plan around that. Closer in, Green Hills Park sits inside the neighborhood. Around those anchors, Green Hills is mostly residential streets where older homes sit next to new construction like this one. When people ask me about the best Nashville neighborhoods, Green Hills comes up because it pairs that kind of green space with Hillsboro Pike shopping and dining. Hours and rules change, so check before you go.

The Green Hills market right now
As of October 19, 2026, my Realtracs "Green Hills Single Family" search shows 110 homes for sale and 29 under contract (22 still taking showings and 7 not). Over the last three months, 89 homes closed. Those sales averaged $1,992,610, with a median of $1,845,000, and spent an average of 29 days on market. Under contract means a buyer and seller have signed an agreement but the sale has not closed yet. These numbers move weekly, so treat them as a snapshot, not a forecast.
