3720 Benham Avenue is one of the newest Green Hills homes for sale, and it is finished: Elliott Homes built it in 2026, with a completion date of September 23, 2026 in the MLS. It has 6,369 square feet, five bedrooms, six full baths and two half baths, and it sits on 0.44 acres with a heated pool, a spa, and an attached pool house. What caught my eye was how much of the work is behind the walls: a conditioned attic and crawlspace, foam insulation, a separate HVAC system for the primary suite, and prewiring for a whole home generator. Inside the home
The kitchen is built for real cooking. It has custom cabinetry, panel ready Viking appliances, a custom wine rack, and counters in Taj Mahal quartzite and natural stone, with a custom hood as the focal point. A large wood island anchors the room, and the kitchen opens to the great room, where the fireplace is framed by built in shelving.
The same detail runs through the rest of the house: designer tile, custom fireplace surrounds, and an ISOKERN wood burning fireplace. Pella windows and doors bring in a lot of light, and Control4 home automation, wireless access points throughout, and Bluetooth controlled thermostats tie the systems together.
The primary suite is on the main level, a layout many buyers ask me for. The bedroom has a beamed ceiling and tall black framed windows, and the bath is spa inspired with heated floors. The suite has its own TRANE HVAC system, so it can run at a different temperature than the rest of the house.
On a walkthrough, I would point out the work you cannot see. The attic and crawlspace are encapsulated, heated, and cooled, the insulation is high efficiency foam, and hot water comes from a tankless recirculating system. There is also a security system with a camera prewire. Even on a brand new home, I want buyers to get the builder warranty in writing and bring their own inspector.
Outdoor space and the lot
Outside is where this house separates itself. The covered porch has automated screens, Bluetooth ceiling speakers, a gas fireplace, and a stainless outdoor kitchen with a gas grill, so it works as a real room for most of the year. Past the porch, the heated gunite pool and spa have Bluetooth controls, with the attached pool house beside them on a paver patio. The backyard is fenced, and there is an irrigation system.
Out front, a paver motor court leads to the 3 car garage, and the house sits back from the street at the end of a long driveway with a mature shade tree near the curb.
Why Benham Avenue works in Green Hills
Benham Avenue Nashville is a residential street in Green Hills Nashville TN 37215, on the east side of Hillsboro Pike. This home is on the stretch between Graybar Lane and Glen Echo Road, and Woodmont Boulevard crosses Benham Avenue farther north. The Green Hills Branch Library is on the same street at 3701 Benham Avenue. Nashville Public Library closed it for a full renovation in January 2026 and expects to reopen it in early 2027. The Mall at Green Hills and Hill Center Green Hills are both west of here along Hillsboro Pike. I will not guess at walk times, so I map the route with you when we tour. That pairing, a library on the street and Hillsboro Pike shopping to the west, is what I like about this part of Benham Avenue.
Living in Green Hills, one of Nashville's best neighborhoods
Hillsboro Pike, which is also US 431, is the commercial spine of Green Hills. The Mall at Green Hills started as Green Hills Village, which opened in 1955 at Hillsboro Pike and Abbott Martin Road. Today it has about 100 stores, and Interstate 440 meets Hillsboro Pike at Exit 3, north of the mall, which is how many people reach Green Hills from the rest of Nashville. South of the mall on Hillsboro Pike, Hill Center Green Hills is H.G. Hill Realty's mix of shops, restaurants, and offices, with a main street feel and outdoor seating. For music, the Bluebird Cafe at 4104 Hillsboro Pike opened in 1982 and is known for songwriter shows in a room that seats about 90 people. Around that core, Green Hills is mostly residential streets with older homes and new construction like this one. When people ask me about the best Nashville neighborhoods, Green Hills comes up because it pairs quiet streets with shopping and dining close at hand. Stores change over time, so check hours before you go.
